Have you ever gotten an error message in windows and had to write it down before clicking ok. Are you tired of having to do that. If so this tutorial is for you. This is a very simple and easy way of copying and pasting your Windows error messages into Notepad for your Computer Support people or whoever is helping you.
To test this out just click the windows button key or the start menu button -> Go to -> either Computer on Vista or My Computer on Windows XP and open it up. Now in the address part of the window just type in x: and hit return or enter. Immediately you will get an error message.
Now that you have an error message, this is where the fun begins. The only thing you have to do now is while the error message is up and in the foreground, just hit the “Crtl + c”.
After hitting “Crtl + c”, the only thing you have to do now is to open up Notepad and then right click in notepad and click on paste. Now you will see your error message in pasted into Notepad where you can save it and give it to your Computer Support people or guy.
