1.) In a terminal, type sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager

2.) Then go to “System” -> “Preferences” -> “Compiz Fusion Manager.

3.) Check Desktop Cube, Rotate Cube, 3D Windows, Wobbly Windows, Paint Fire on the Screen, and Water Effects.  Then close the Compiz Fusion Manager.

4.)  Now the fun begins.  Listed below are a few shortcuts that will get you started having a little fun with the different effects of Ubuntu’s graphics:
