So now you’ve gotten yourself an iPad and you want to jailbreak it, just like your iPhone. Well, again you’ve come to the right place. Follow the simple steps below and you will have your jailbroken iPad ready with Cydia on it and Rock Apps in about twenty minutes.
Step 2. Make sure you have iTunes installed.
Step 3. Make a backup of your iPad by syncing it up to iTunes one last time.
Step 4. Connect your iPad 3.2 Wifi or Wifi 3G.
Step 5. Run the Spirit Jailbreak app you downloaded from the above link.
Strep 6. Once the Spirit Jailbreak app is running all you need to do is to click on the Jailbreak button.
Step 7. Now all you need to do is to be patient and let the Jailbreak app do it’s thing…Sometimes that means waiting 20 mintues.
In some instances where I did my Jailbreak, I had to do a hard reboot of the iPad by holding down the home button and the off button for several seconds. I would only recommend doing that in the case that it looks like the jailbreak process is hung. Anyway it will eventually reboot and you will have the Cydia app on your desktop. You can use Cydia to install Rock Apps on your iPad. At this point you are done and your iPad is jailbroken. The one last thing you will need to do is to change the default root passwords to the iPad. When you install Rock Apps it will ask you to do this automatically. I suggest you take the advice and go ahead and set the password to something that you will remember.
One last thing, most of the cydia apps will work but they are still formatted for the iPhone. Winterboard and other terminal apps aren’t even running yet. So be patient as there are a lot of people working real hard on getting these jailbroken apps rewritten for the iPad.
