There are a lot of people out there that want to have their Linux box automatically login for them after a reboot.  Follow the steps below:

AUTOMATICALLY LOGIN:

In order to setup your Linux box to automatically login using a particular user, you will need to follow the steps below.
You need to edit /etc/kde/kdm/kdmrc using terminal and add the following to the end of the file:

AutoLoginEnable=true

AutoLoginUser=username   ###NOTE:  Where username is your username you use to login to the linux box. ###

DefaultUser=username ###NOTE:  Where username is your username you use to login to the linux box. ###

 

That’s it!  You should now be able to have your linux users login automatically using kde.
